With regards to your issue, is this happening to Fortnite only when you are using Xbox cloud gaming, or other games and apps as well?

Some android phone has this setting to enable game mode, on my case it is named "Ultra game mode" if your phone has one try disabling it before you launch the game as it might affect the performance. This depends on the phone you are using, try to swipe up where you will find the shortcut key for Wi-fi, data network, airplane mode, auto-rotate, etc. Usually the game mode will show there.

After disabling it, restart your device then check whether the Xbox cloud is still having problem with auto rotate.

Dear Ben, I have tried what you have told me to. By the way, this only happened to Xbox cloud gaming, all my other gaming apps are working well. I have a moto g(9) power and it is called ''moto gametime''. I turned it off, deleted Xbox cloud gaming, restarted my phone and thanks to you it is now working. It didn't work at first but I decided to do it again but this time I deleted it before restarting it.

As a follow up to my posting. After installing game to HD I tried again and became stuck on the vertical setup screen and finally, following several expletives, the system responded. What happened? Well...the vertical setup screen shows UP as well as DOWN
arrows and heaven forbid you try to push up and down on your controller because nothing will happen. For some odd reason the developers decided to make the command controls for vertical to be left and right. You're not given permission (through "Button A"
prompt) to advance unless you follow this counter-intuitive manuever. (Black Ops setup was up/down for vertical and left/right for horizontal.) Hope this helps someone else...hopefully, I'm not the only one that got stuck at that point. Happy hunting all!!!
