How to hook up my Xbox one s to my tcl Roku tv

so there is one spot that says HDMI port, my cable is plugged into it. there are two other spots the cord will plug into, and I tried that, but I don't get anything. Is it only the one port you can use?

there are two hdmi ports on your xbox. Make sure you're using the one that says out to TV.

So if you have the HDMI cable plugged in, I would turn the system off completely and then turn it back on and see what happens. It’s also a possibility that it may not do anything until you turn on the controller and try to move around on the screen even
though it’ll show blank. It might be waiting for an input to “wake up”

Does the tv have an HDMI port?

If so, plug the Xbox into that, as I previously described.

After some quick research, I'm going ot assume you have a standard tv and not the Roku streaming player (the little box thing) so you would simply plug the Xbox One S into the HDMI input of the tv, select that input on the tv and turn the xbox one and
off you go ( depending on weather the tv will sit on an input source when there is no input you may have to switch to the HDMI input the Xbox is connected to when the Xbox turns on)
