    How to get Xbox Gold Home Share to work?


    I need help getting the xbox gold share to work. I already have another profile as the home, but it still demanding that I pay for xbox gold. Things I already tried are:

    Checking the subscriptions. The main profile is still able to play games. They are still paying for it. It just won't let me play it for some odd reason.

    Resetting it. Didn't work.

    Factory resetting it. Also didn't work.

    Checking the Payments. Its still there. The newest one, anyway.

    Checking other profiles. It didn't work on those. Just the main one.

    Checking To see if the main profile is set at home. It is. Multiple times. Even taking it off and putting it back didn't work.

    No matter what I do, I can't play. I need help.

    second xBox can't access the gold subscription

    Gold Sharing will only work if your Son is signed into your HOME xbox.

    If you set your Sons Xbox at school as your accounts Home xbox you should be able to share gold with him however gold sharing on your own xbox would stop working

    Hi in reply to your question Yes you could share gold with her but your account would have to be on her xbox and your account would have to be signed in to share xbox live. With setting the home xbox's yes you both would be able to share games if both of
    you have each other xbox's set as home. You only can game share 3 times a year though.

    if you set your xbox to a “home Xbox” do you have to pay more for gold if you have a second account?

    Just to explain it a bit better, as there are a lot of misunderstandings on how Gold sharing works:

    You share your Gold membership to your "Home Console".

    Everyone on that console can benefit from your Gold Membership at no additional costs. They can use Party Chat and play online Multiplayer, as long as they play on your "Home Console".

    Their account is NOT a full Gold member. If they sign in on a different console, that is not the Home Console of a Gold membership owner, they are unable to play Multiplayer.

    Also, even when they play on a Home Console with Gold membership, they do NOT get access to the Games with Gold or the Deals with Gold.

    You just have to know, that you share your Gold and games to a CONSOLE. Not individual accounts! That console will then share your games and Gold memberships with anyone playing on that console at no additional costs for you.
