how to get voice in clips/recordings

if you are on pc press windows and g, go to the settings at the top then find capturing and select which one you want for your audio in clips. On xbox I am not sure about sorry.

Great question, and it comes with a great answer. Now, it's been a while but it still is possible to record your Xbox gameplay with its own voice input, through your own headphones/microphone of choice

To set up everything you need (for the next time you wish to record) press the Xbox button on your controller, head to Broadcast
> Advanced Settings. Configure your settings there, should be easy to figure out if you're doing it first time as well.

Note: Make sure Mic: Option is On.

Now, you're right to some extent, unfortunately with (-minus the capture cards you'd have to independently buy yourself), with the Xbox One you cannot record voice with Xbox One Gameplay, although to easily get around this you need to record through Xbox
Twitch.

You can record clips without using the Kinect - simply snap the game dvr app, choose to start or end a clip, the amount of time to record (up to 5 minutes), then it records. It's easy! You can't record a voice-over or show a clip of your face, but the ability
to record without the Kinect IS there. It actually surprises me how many people don't realize it.

If you are talking about the built in clip recording on the Xbox One, it does not record voice.

I'm not sure if it can record your own voice either... I've seen other people record game clips and you can hear other party members speaking as they come out through the game, but not the person recording it and also speaking. Hopefully someone knows
of a way to record your voice as well on the clip. Best of luck!
