How to get online Forza Horizon 5?

Hey, so I've recently reinstalled Forza Horizon 5 out of pure hope I can play online etc. However, my problem occurs that I can't? I've tried everything, checking my internet connection, re-installing it, closing it and re opening it but nothing has worked. I don't own the Hot wheels dlc so no other forums are much use to me, I pray someone finds the solution.

Yes and yes, I've played online before and I am level 140. This is the first time I have ran into a problem like this and never had any issues, it's only recently when I've reinstalled the game again.

have you played through the story sufficiently to unlock online? Is your Microsoft account connected?

I am on Xbox and but there isn't an option for me to play online. It just says Horizon life or Horizon solo, yet when I click on them they take me back to the game and nothing happens.
