How to get my Spotify to make sound

For some reason my Spotify isn't working iv tried looking it up and still nothing has worked I did a soft factor reset that didn't work reinstalling it didn't work change the input no I don't know how to make it work

Is this happening only when you try to play music using Spotify? Or if you try using a different music app like YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon music the issue persist?

By the way, when you say “change the input” do you mean changing the output audio for the HDMI connection? (For example, if you are using stereo uncompressed, change it to 5.1 and test with each audio option available)

And, if you try using headphones the same happens ?

Yeah,noticed it last night with the sound through my Soundbar, it was like I was only getting 50% of the sound when set to dolby. I guess Spotify will have to have its own setting from now.

This wouldn't be an issue for Xbox Live, you'd
have to contact Spotify support. You can get into Microsoft Account as is evident by receiving the code for Spotify Premium, but you're having trouble getting into Spotify, so you'd have to reach out to them on how to recover your account. You do have
an account with Spotify, correct? It is a different service than Xbox Live, and would not take your Microsoft Account credentials. You have to make a discrete account for their service.

In the guide, with Spotify running and playing music (and maybe with a game in "focus" on screen), click on the Spotify icon and you'll get some media controls. It sounds like your volume balance is set all the way towards the music end of the scale; bring
it back towards game volume (the controller icon) and you should, hopefully, start hearing game audio again.

Chiming in to say I'm having the same issue. Only getting sound in games right now. No sound in dashboard, not even any sound in Spotify, but when I turn on NBA 2K23, after the screen goes black for a second, it comes back and then I can hear the music from Spotify as the game is loading. It's as if the system is switching into a different mode when it does this. One that actually has sound. What is happening?
