How to get my headset to work in Battlefront?

HI Everyone,

My cousin and I just tried to play while using our headsets but had no luck. I have gone through all the settings in the game but I can't find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

Can't Seem To Get My Headset Mic To Work

Hey there Jay!

That's frustrating. First thing to try is always going to be
power cycling your console. If that doesn't work, do you have another controller you can test your headset on? Or another headset you can test on your current controller? This will help us narrow down if the issue is maybe with your mic or your controller.

Hey PresentedAsp801, SWBF does not have an in-game chat. As such you have to connect to users playing the game by inviting or joining other players via xbox live chat. You can easily do this by pressing the menu button in-game, select players and then bring
up the profile for a player and invite/join from there.

Not the most user friendly chat option but personally i have made more friends to game with because of that.

is your question how to reset your controller or how to get a headset to work? Some headsets (3rd party) will need the adapter to work correctly if connected to a headset.

I don't hear them in my headsets (Turtle Beaches px5's). I have the kinect chat set to on and only hear the game sound in my headsets....Don't know how to get it to work...tried everything...

Here is how I understand the whole headset compatability works (maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong):

GAME AUDIO

If your headset gets the game audio via a box linked to your gaming machine via optic audio out - this audio will continue to work as designed, as the xbox One has optic out as well.

CHAT AUDIO

If your headset gets the chat audio via a direct bluetooth wireless link to the xbox360 machine - then this headset will not work with chat audio on the xbox One.

If your headset gets the chat audio wireless via a bluetooth puck that plugs into the 360 controller (not a direct wireless link to the gaming machine) -then this may work with the xbox One depending on how the forthcoming adapter works with next gen controllers.

If your headset gets the chat audio via a cable directly connected to your xbox360 controller - then this may work on the xbox One depending on how the upcoming adapter works with the xbox One controller.
