How to get Horizontal split screen

This will depend on the game you are playing.

Some offer horizontal splits-screen while others offer a vertical, and there are those who offer both.

Which game is it?

The type of split screen the game uses (horizontal vs vertical) is programmed into the games themselves. Most games force a horizontal split screen and there is no way to change this. If you do not see an option for it in the games' menu, then there is no
way to alter the position of the screen divider.

Split screen for 2 players (horizontal split hopefully)

If you hit the start (menu) button on the controller, it just takes you back to the main menu.

^^ It is pretty fun. I like that they give you the choice of which way you want to split the screen (vertical or horizontal).

To bring it back... it all comes down to simplicity and the customer. Split screen should work horizontal and vertical and allow you to "fit to screen" in different shapes like stretch, full screen, etc... Will the picture be distorted or smaller? Depends
on the setting you pick. But I would much rather have this option than not. What's the point of having split screen in the first place? TO NOT HAVE TO USE ANOTHER DEVICE. Obviously, split screen is here to stay with XB1, as they are making it a huge selling
point. If you had issues with PIP/Split Screen in the past then you would have the best insight on how to improve it. What went wrong? What were you expecting it to be? How should they fix it?
