How to get help removing an unwanted follower?

Block the accounts that you want to remove from your friends list. Although this method is not always 100% effective, it can sometimes help to remove the unwanted followers.

Unfollow the ghost account that is causing the issue. This may help to reset your friends list and remove the unwanted followers.

Check your privacy settings to ensure that your friends list is set to "Friends Only" or "Private." This can prevent unwanted followers from being added to your friends list.

Some of the unwanted followers have been removed. Only 3 remain.

Sorry right now the only thing you can do is the block function. If they are doing something to violate the code of conduct you could also report them.

As i mentioned, i already contacted the support multiple times and also talked with "live agents", the last time around 1 or 2 weeks ago. They only told me that this kind of function does not exist (which i already know, it didnt exist 2 years ago either). I also asked for help on reddit (xbox insider) and even wrote several feedbacks to maybe implement said feature.

The reason im trying my luck (again) is, that apparently there are specific users with the same problem who also contacted the support of their region, and the xbox support told them to ask for help in this forum (as stated from the specific user in the thread i linked in my initial post). And atleast this one specific user i linked in my initial post got help in this forum from an employee/moderator who was able to remove his/her followers.

Again, i dont think people staying on your follower list even after blocking is meant to be a feature, since some people i blocked got removed and others didnt. Which brings me to the conclusion that this is some kind of issue/bug or whatever we wanna call it.

This is why im asking: Why is it possible to remove the (not wanted) followers of specific users, but not mine (or others with the same issue), even tho i asked for this already years ago? And who exactly can be contacted if the support either simply cant help or tells us that we should ask in this forum, and in this forum i am told to ask the support? This issue is known for years (one can also google and can see that there are many posts like mine asking for a way to remove followers) and since i atleast now know of one specific case who got help (the case i linked in my initial post) i wanted to ask for help too.

However, I believe that nothing has changed in the meantime, the ideal thing is to get in touch with Xbox support to find out if they have any recommendations for your case.

See the bottom left part of the page and make sure that the page has the correct region that you are in (ex: United States - English for USA)

If not, click on it then select the correct region that you are in.

Check and confirm that you are within the available time of support under Contact times.

Click Contact us

Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.

On the page, see the provided support articles that may help you with your concern. Click See contact options if further assistance is needed.

On the next page, select either Chat online or Request a call option then follow or enter the needed details.
