How to get FH5 working again since refusing to launch after Series 26 dl!?

Okay, so on the 10th i've just finished successfully downloading the series 26 update (aka Dia De Muertos) of FH5 on my Xbox One S and when i've tried booting up the game, not for nothing would it boot it up...even to a splash screen neither.

But keep in mind this game is a physical disc and was working perfectly fine this past sunday and any other game works without issues so it's not the xbox fault here...atleast i don't think it is.

Also the disc isn't scratched but whenever i try clicking the icon, there is no pop-up that displays, which is very weird since that's never happened before and usually atleast an "error" message would alert me if there's a problem but with any game in general not being able to be read.

All of a sudden there is just no reaction from the console unfortunately besides hearing the laser starting to read it for a couple of secs then just abruptly give up.

Now with all that being said, resetting the console is absolutely not an option for me since it sounds very risky regardless of gaining back data through cloud saves since alot of my gameplay is done offline through local saves, so therefore that makes me very hesitant to even try uninstalling=reinstalling FH5 as well.

Hello Again, so thanks for responding and trying to assist me on this matter, and now i'm proud to admit that this issue has officially been resolved after i've lastly moved my FH5 data over from my external storage to my internal.

Which was interesting since i've never had to result to that option before, but atleast no data whatsoever was lost and most importantly everything works, so that's all that matters in this case.

Hopefully this doesn't occur again after downloading the series 27 update & onwards overall.

I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with launching your Forza Horizon 5 game after downloading series 26 update. We are very glad to help you out to find some of the best possible options and troubleshooting's that we can provide for you.

1. Check for updates: Make sure your Xbox One S is up to date with the latest system updates. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Updates & downloads.

2. Clear the cache: Clearing the cache on your Xbox One S can sometimes help open up possible differences with game discs. To do this, hold down the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console and wait 10 seconds before plugging it back in and turning the console back on.

3. Check the disc: Even if the disc doesn't appear to be scratched, it's possible that there is some damage that is preventing it from being read properly. Try cleaning the disc with a soft, lint-free cloth and see if that helps. You can also try inserting the disc into another Xbox One S console to see if it works there.

4. Try a digital copy: If you have access to a digital copy of Forza Horizon 5, try downloading and installing that instead of using the physical disc.

This is for us to try some of these troubleshooting steps so that we can conclude and isolate if this issue lies on the Xbox Console itself or on the disc since it is working before but it is not good now since the update that you have done. Just let us know as well.

Thank you for replying on this thread, we do appreciate it a lot. For now, we do believe you that this had been working before and as for physical discs it will really read the game or what discs you are inserting on your Xbox Console.

For now, here is just other options that we can let you try for us to investigate and isolate further in this issue of yours since we may need to check on differences.

Try inserting the discs on a different Xbox Console that is not yours and see and check if the game discs will read on other Xbox Console like your friends or someone else you may know. So that we can identify if it within your Xbox Console or the Discs itself.
