    How to get account back after email address was changed by hacker


    My xbox account wasnt working one day and when I checked the email had changed to a Russian email address. I called xbox immediately and was told it would take some time. 6 months later and nothing has happened. Is there anyway to get my account back?

    Forced to create another xbox account on an email that already has one, and now i can't log in to xbox app.

    If there is still a phone or alternate email address to the old account (which the hacker probably just changed the email address, and not deleted it), then you might be able to recover it. But if the hacker already changed the alternate email address or phone from the hacked account, than nothing can be done.

    Did you enter your original email address? Since it's been removed, you need to use the hacker's email address as the account you're trying to get back into?

    I do not know what email address the hackers have changed the new email to. Can I not provide the email address that the account has been registered to for the past 10 years, and they can track the history to see all the changes were made today?

    They logged into my account and changed the email to something they created. I have access to my regular email that the account was created on, and has been linked to for a decade.

    Are you saying I need to know the email that the hackers changed it to?

    The hacker already changed my email address and password. I called support and they said it will take 24-72 hours to get back to me and they never contacted me back.
