How to fully recover Account

Follow the steps below to update your security information;

1. On the Security Basics https://account.microsoft.com/security page, select the Update Information button. If you're not already signed in to your Microsoft account, you'll be prompted to do so.

2. You may be asked to enter a verification code to continue. If you don't have access to your alternate email or phone number, select I don't have any of these and follow the instructions to replace your security information.

3. You will see your security information in Security Settings. Choose Remove for anyone you want to remove. You may be asked to add new security information before you can delete old information.

I understand the problem you are having, since you log in to your account using the PIN, but you still cannot modify any security information since your account was stolen/hacked the best I can recommend and let's say that the only option is the recovery form of counts.

Thank you Courtney, i was able to change the password of the account using the link you sent. But i am unable to change the alternate email that the person set, any advice??

I am having the same issue except I am just now trying to recover my gamertag and it is downloading, but is taking forever... the download bar has moved an inch in an hour. Why is it taking so long? I deleted my corrupted profile and cleared my cache, and
started over and it is doing it again... any help out there?
