How to fix xbox not connecting to xbox network even though it says that the connection is good?

It says there is a problem with you network connectivity. It fails the test between XBOX and Network. The suggested fix is to find IPaddress of the modem, which I can't even figure out how to do that

I can't get AW to connect either, it says "you must have an active network connection to play xbox live or system link matches" even though I am connected to Xbox live.

I'm having a similar problem except that my Xbox was connecting to my network fine until we had a short power outage, now I can't get it to connect to my network. It says that the password is incorrect even though it is not.
