How to fix very slow XBOX one S after update?

I updated my Xbox a couple of days ago and since then it has been pretty much unusable as it has been so slow. It takes more than five minutes to load from the green screen. Then another few minutes to log me in. Then when I try to launch any games it times out and can’t launch. So I tried to open settings to check the storage and any other possible issues…. But it times out on settings so I can’t even open them. I have tried restarting it several times. What else can I do to fix this? It was running fine before the update and the network is not the problem.

    :)

How to fix very slow XBOX one S after update?

    Hi

I found a solution to my problem. I did a big reset with the delete games and apps option. Later, when i dowloaded the games, it got solved.

How to fix very slow XBOX one S after update?

Thanks. I tried all of them but only the third one worked. But now 2 days later I’m having the same issue but it’s worse. Now it takes 5 mins to even get to the green screen and after that takes like 15 mins before moving off the green screen. Is there anything else I can do?

How to fix very slow XBOX one S after update?

Hi, Alexei. My name is Ron, I'm an independent advisor. I will be more than happy to help you.

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console

    1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: If there is an external hard drive connected to your console now, please turn off your console and then disconnect the external hard drive. Turn on your console without it and see if it works fine.

Solution 3: Try doing the button sequence below to do a factory reset and let me know if it works.

    - Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    - Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    - Wait 30 seconds.

    - Plug the power cord back in.

    - Press and hold the BIND button (the one you use to sync controllers) and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    - Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    - Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart.

Note: If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.

    - You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    - The console should start and show the Troubleshooting screen

    - Choose "reset this Xbox" and there you have an option to Keep Games and Apps (already downloaded) or to Remove Everything
