    How to fix “Trouble hearing party or game chat?”


    i have 2 headsets, a wireless headset, and a wired headset. My main headset is my wireless headset, but when it dies i use my wired headset. The problem with that is when i use my wired headset and i get my wireless headset fully charged up again i unplug my wired headset and turn on my wireless headset but everytime i do that it says “trouble hearing party or game chat?” And then i cant hear anybody. This stays like this for a few days, sometimes even weeks, and then it goes back to normal, but then the cycle repeats of me having to use my wired headset because my wireless headset is dead, and when i switch back to my wireless headset, it says “trouble hearing party or game chat?” How do i fix this

    Party chat doesnt work right, still no voice messaging!

    I find if you're having trouble hearing your friends or vice-versa in party chat, an easy fix is to simply switch from party chat to game chat and back again. ;)

    As far as voice messaging is concerned, I'm not entirely certain if MS wants to bring it back... :|

    VERY unimpressed with the party chat.

    Gotcha. I heard a rumor that they are working to fix party chat. Once I was in a party chat and I could hear my party AND hear the in-game chat for Battlefield 4. The rumor was they were going to revert it to the old party chat system by next month. I
    forgot where I heard that so I can't source. Again, it was a rumor, so not sure its credibility.

    Weird high pitched noise(with audio)

    I am having the same issue. I have figured out what causes it, but not how to fix it.

    A. Plugging your headset in after starting a party.

    B. unplugging your headset.

    Like I said, don't know how to fix it, but I have figured that much out. And it has something to do with game chat I assume, because if I go to the home/dashboard it stops. It is only when I am in a game or app that I can hear it.

    Also when his is happening, I can no longer chat, party chat comes out of my speakers, instead if my headset, and no one can hear me. (My green dot in party chat disappears)

    I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble getting it to work.. Have you tryed using a different Mic? Also sometimes in your settings your party Chat can be muted without you realizing it. Sounds like you could fix it using a different Mic than your Camera
    Mic. Try Party chat, and using a Headset to see if it's a Hardware issue first.
