How to fix "Problem Locating Installation Locations, Please try again"

According to your error message, you are getting issues with Xbox app installation location and is unable to install new apps in your PC. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

We appreciate that you shared the troubleshooting you have performed. As this is related to location/drive issues, there is a possibility that the resolution is related to Windows and that we may perform troubleshooting for this. Before we provide the steps. please provide us details about your concern:

1. Since you have mentioned installation of new apps on different drive is your issue and this question was posted on Xbox Category. May we know if you are trying to install apps from Microsoft Store? Or are you trying to install games on Xbox app?
   
2. Do you mind sharing a screenshot of the issue you encounter? Please conceal your personal information like full name and email address.
   
3. May we ask your drive is formatted as NTFS?
   
4. May we know what apps are you trying to install in your PC?
   
5. Can you normally install apps from Microsoft Store and installation is on Drive C?

please try to install to a different location after updating the app. The new version coming any time allows you to designated the drive/folder to install on, and try a different location.

Hi Noah im in same boat suddenly as of yesterday all my xbox games are not there and when i go to reinstall it tells me gaming services needs an update or is broken is this what you get ?? yet my EA games that are linked work fine
