    How to fix my power brick


    I unplugged my outlet that everything was into and when i tried to plug it back up. The xbox wouldn’t turn on turns out the power brick light is red. Everything has been fine up to this point and i’ve already bought like 3 so i don’t wanna buy another if needed. on top of that the last brick is still orange.

    Hi, Juicemann! Thank you for your reply and additional information.

    A flashing light normally means the power supply needs to be replaced, however, LED indicators on aftermarket PSUs tend to not be very accurate.

    Could you try resetting your power supply again? Only this time, please unplug all external devices from your console before attempting to turn your console on.

    it was solid but now it’s flashing red and on my other it’s solid orange, yes, also yes, yes and no on the stickers. And thanks for the reply (edit) Now somehow it’s back to solid red.

    I'm glad your console turned on! That's great.

    Sadly, it seems your power supply unit is no longer able to keep up with your console and the external devices attached to it. This would explain why the light changed to green and the console turned on once you removed one of your external devices. Unplugging your devices, as well as plugging the PSU directly into a wall outlet, should help with this.

    I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

    If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

    - Is the light on your power supply solid or flashing?

    - Besides the TV, are there any external devices plugged into your console?

    - Have you already tried using a different outlet?

    - Have you already tried unplugging your power supply from both the outlet and your console for a few minutes?

    - Is there a sticker or engraving on the power supply unit explaining the meaning of each of the indicator's colors? Aftermarket power supply units often have different LED indicator colors than the ones found in OEM power supply units.

    I unplugged one thing and it turned on thank you for that honestly. But it’s a very very faint green now
