How to fix my expansion Seagate hard drive

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Seagate Expansion Card. To isolate your issue, can you please confirm if your card is being detected? Open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

If it's not showing, please remove the storage and perform a power cycle to restart your power supply and clear the cache of your console. kindly follow the steps below.

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 50 seconds.

Important: Make sure that you wait at least 50 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

Once booted up, reinsert your storage device and try again.

I bought a passport and had the same problem and exchanged it for a Seagate 4tb expansion hard drive and work perfectly I think the problem with the passport is that the software on it can never be erased. the Seagate drive is just what it is a expansion
drive no software imbedded in it. I hope that helps you

Did you buy the Seagate expansion card or a Seagate hard drive? The arrows mean the games are on a device that can't run them and they need to be moved back to the internal drive in order to play them. If what you bought is not the Seagate expansion card, it won't run those games, it'll only store them.

Series S/X games will only work on the internal or an expansion card. If you use a regular external hard drive, they will not run.
