Discus and support how to enable directx 12 ultimate on my Dell Latitude 3120 ? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; system shows i have it installed but not enabled.     how to enable directx 12 ultimate on my Dell Latitude 3120 ?


    system shows i have it installed but not enabled. Checked out if it was enabled

    through two different ways.

    1) RUN Command dxdiag. 2) XBOX Gamebar.

    Both showed same results yet my laptop downloaded it through an update i believe.

    i have even researched youtube and still no go.

    my laptop is a DELL Latitude

    running win11 home

    with 4gig RAM

    64-bit OS x64-based processor

    version 22H2

    OS build 22621.1413

    processor Intel(R) Celeron(R) N5100 @ 1.10GHz 1.11GHz

    Hi,

    Your laptop doesn't support DX12 Ultimate. It's designed for high end dedicated graphics cards.

    The Celeron N100 is low end, low powered processor that with it's iGPU, draws only 10W.

    DX ultimate is primarily designed for AMD 6xxxx and Nvidia RTX 20,30 and 40 Series graphics cards.

    you wont be running any games on it

    The apu is too weak it supports direct x 12 barely it doesn't have.enough gpu shadders and it's nor a gaming laptop

    It's a netbook which is the same as a chromebook

    Hi,

    You can't enable it on that laptop as the NVIDIA MX250 does not support DirectX 12 Ultimate. DX12 Ultimate is only supported on RTX 20XXX series, 30XXX series and AMD's RX 6XXXX series of graphics processors.

    it has to Support DirectX 12 ultimate, DirectX 12.3

    There is no work around outside of buying a new computer or upgrading your GPU in a desktop
