    How to download or extract Xbox background?


    Hi, my Xbox background was set as a custom image ages ago from a screenshot I took. Unfortunately, I have accidentally deleted my screenshot and now I need to download or copy my background somehow as it's the only image I have of it. The screenshot is one of the last moments I spent with one of my friends as they have sadly passed since then, so this screenshot means alot to me.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi Ironsight, my name is Joel, I'm here to help you with any problems or questions you may have.

    Ironsight, I am afraid that what you are requesting is something totally impossible since the background you see on your console is a local image, the screenshots and Xbox clips are deleted after 90 days from the Xbox network and it is no longer possible to recover any of those records.

    Cannot download update

    http://xbox.com/update explains how you can download an update ZIP file, extract it, then take the extracted files and either copy them to a USB Flash drive with 256MB free, or burn it to a DVDR or CDR.
    Then, power off the Xbox, load the USB flash drive or the burned disc, and power up to run the update.

    How about going to http://www.xbox.com/update and download the update to your computer desktop, then extract its files to do the Local Install option.
