    How to disable menu/pause/xbox/share buttons on Xbox Controller ON WINDOWS PC.


    I have a 2 year old son. he doesn't understand much yet, but he loves Peppa Pig (Much to my annoyance).

    So, we loaded the Peppa Pig game from Game Pass on PC. he loves it.

    However, because he isn't yet smart enough to understand all the buttons on the controller, he keeps pressing the pause (3 lines button), or the xbox button, and others. he's repeatedly quit the game, or deleted his save, etc. just from the random button mashing he does.

    The easy way to solve this would be to simply unbind/disable THESE buttons on the controller:

    • I have tried the Xbox Accessories app, it has no option to unmap these buttons, even after firmware updating the controller.
    • Steam is not relevant as it's not installed on this PC.
    • Controller Companion (A Steam App) is also not available for purchase in Australia, so it's of no use.
    How do i disable ALL FOUR of these buttons on Windows?

    Is there any Genuine MS Software that can, or is there any open source software that can?

    I appreciate all the information above. I am afraid that there's no option to disable those buttons yet using any software or the mapping features for controllers.

    It is probably trying to sign into Windows Messenger. Disable this under the PROFILE section when you press the Xbox button on your controller....I believe it's far right slide. Disable the "sign into windows messenger"
