How to delete a service from your Microsoft account

You can cancel subscriptions at http://account.microsoft.com but there's no way to delete just an Xbox account without closing the Microsoft account as well.

Thank you for reaching out to the forums with this question, you are able to update the email address to your account the only thing is that it will be deleting the current email permanently from Microsoft services. In other words if you choose to remove
an alias that uses a Microsoft domain such as (Hotmail.com, outlook.com, or live.com) that alias will be completely deleted and will not be available to sign in to any Microsoft services. If the email is anything else for example gmail or yahoo then it will
be deleted from Microsoft but not from google or yahoo services.

Your Xbox account is the same as your Microsoft account, even if you don't use Xbox services. Microsoft does not recycle or recover emails after they are deleted from your account.

In your case, I recommend that you create a new Microsoft account with a new email address.

Xbox Accounts can't be deleted on the service itself, only on your own devices.

If you deleted an account from your device, simply sign in with your accounts Microsoft Account email and associated password to download your account again to your Xbox.
