How to Copy Xbox App Game to Another PC Without Redownloading ?

It's a tough thing to download games in Egypt due to the limited internet quota that the internet companies provide so I need a way to share the game files with my friends to be able to enjoy my Xbox game pass subscription.

Unfortunately, the gaming and storage system that Xbox uses to save games to the PC does not allow you to copy and paste the folder where the game is located to a different PC, as doing so will not detect the other PC as installed. I'm afraid the only thing you can do in this case is install the game again on the new PC where you want to play.

Also keep in mind that it is illegal to share your gamepass subscription with your friends and if Microsoft discovers you they can ban you.

You would have to purchase it for PC if you want to play it on PC, Only games that support Play Anywhere can be bought on Xbox/PC and redownloaded and played on the other without making another purchase. That game does not support Play Anywhere.

I had downloaded files on external harddisk from another computer and then copied files to xbox games in C drive....

This is likely the reason why. PC games on the Xbox App have additional protections that prevents files being used from a different install of the game on another computer. If you want to play this on your PC, you need to download the game from the Xbox App directly to your PC.

Is this happening with the Microsoft store / Xbox app version of the game?

If yes, may I know why you didn't use the "Move" option available inside Windows settings?

I ask this because even if you decide to clon an entire drive or copy/paste a game downloaded from the Xbox app / Microsoft store on another PC or drive without doing it from the Windows settings

The PC and the Xbox app is not going to recognize the game as installed
