Miracast.does what you want and not.limited to one device

What you are trying tO do is outdated and not.what it is meant for its for game .streaming

As standard change so.do.the protocols

Miracast.and dlna. support. more devices not.to.mention don't have the developer limitation since its dependent on the actual device even wifi direct has.better protccols why do you think media Center is gone

What you.are talking about is in the Xbox app.just.not.the way you are trying to.do

Touch screen is.supported only on cloud games

And what you want to.do keyboard is only supported via installed.games on your laptop

No, I use my xbox for streaming services and I want to be able to use my laptop as a controller to skip to next episode/rewind/select show etc. Used to be able to do this on the companion app but that's being shut down, and the option to do so on the new app isn't there.

But you CAN do it on console companion. That's the issue, console companion is being shut down and the replacement doesn't do the same job. It's not screen replication as all that would be on my laptop screen is the controller, not a mirror of the screen.
