How to consolidate microsoft profiles and get rid of an old email

In the top right corner of my Xbox it shows an old email I don't want on there and yes I changed the billing and Microsoft email but I can seem to get rid of that old one appearing but when I sign in to my Microsoft account it's still the old email so that
might be the problem anyone know how to change the sign in email for Microsoft accounts?

Thanks guys, I wasn't able to open up the link but just to confirm, how do I change an email address on my old profile that I am trying to get rid of. My knowledge on the Xbox is fairly limited so if you could let me know that will be much appreciated

this just started to happen for me I had to go to add new and enter current email address and password and it made the account but I don't know how to get rid of the old one, but it keeps referring my account back to the old email address in which I removed
from aliases

Thank you for your response. I’m doing well!

I tried using the old email address but it keeps saying that it doesn’t exist. I switched from that old email to my current one to consolidate the many addresses I had and for payments etc to be on the same account.

I’ll get in touch with the support team. Hopefully I get more luck as earlier today it wouldn’t work.
