How to connect a speaker directly to Xbox one

I am wanting to connect a speaker directly to my Xbox One X WITHOUT a receiver. Do they make an HDMI that splits into a positive and negative bare wire?

we like to connect an external speakers. Is it possible ? and How do we need to do it ?

There are a few ways you can go about this. The most typical is via an AVR (Audio Video Receiver).

    1. HDMI from Xbox to your TV. HDMI from TV to an AVR. Speakers connected to AVR.

    2. HDMI from Xbox directly to AVR. For this you'll also need to make sure you have HDMI going from AVR to TV so the video can pass through the AVR to TV.

    3. Optical out to AVR.

There is no way to connect external speakers directly to the Xbox. You would need an AVR connected to the speakers and then a connection from the Xbox to the AVR.

    If you don't want to go the AVR route;

You can buy an external sound card and connect your speakers that way.

You can use an optical to RCA adapter and plug the RCA adapter into the PC speakers.

You can buy wireless bluetooth speakers if your TV has bluetooth and your TV should output the sound from the Xbox to the speakers.

    No sound

Does your monitor have in built speakers, or 3.5mm audio jack? If yes, I think you should connect via HDMI as it will carry sound as well.

However, if your monitor doesn't have any of those you need to get speakers to connect directly to your Xbox.

Xbox One in monitor no sound

    Hi Mayxze,

Do your speakers support optical input? If they do then all you would need is an optical cable to directly connect your Xbox to the speakers. A lot of the larger, theatre type speakers have optical inputs. If not then you would need a converter for the optical
cable to connect to your speakers.

Another solution is to get some more portable speakers with a 3.5 mm connection and connect it to your controller. There are a lot of them on the market that are not that expensive.

Here is a thread on reddit with a discussion about this topic that may help:

How to connect Logitech Z4 speakers to Xbox One S?

    Hey again!

It isn't guaranteed to work, but you might be able to plug your speakers directly into your controller to output volume. If that doesn't work you'd need to find some type of receiver that allows for Optical-In from the Xbox One S and Outputs to your Logitech
speakers via 3.5mm cable. I don't have any recommendations to provide on that hardware, but it may be less expensive to purchase a new speaker setup that has Optical Audio connection out of the box.

    Xbox One with external speakers/headphones

Hmm. This is a little bit tricky I think. First the bad news. The x32 is not compatible with the Xbox One. So you will not be able to connect it wirelessly.

I also would not recommend using a hdmi to component adapter as you will of course have a loss in quality of the video signal. You better use the original hdmi connection for best results.

If you have active speakers now connected to the 360 I would check if it's possible to have them plugged into your TV directly if it has proper outputs. If you are using speakers connected to an amplifier then you should use the optical audio out of the
One to connect the One with the amplifier or just use an adapter there.
