    How to connect 2 XboX One together


    Hello,

    I'm interested in buying the new Xbox One X but I want to keep my actual Xbox One S.

    for the moment, all the games i ply with are installed on an external disk drive connected to the One S.

    I would like to use the One S as a server to create on it a private Ark Server.

    Here are my questions :

    1/ how to physically connect the 2 xbox ?

    2/ which of the One S or One X should be the main one ?

    3/ if th one X is the main console, how should I properly transfer the games to it (only plug the external HDD to it or there is a procedure to follow) ?

    4/ will be bad issues with the gamertags used in term of connexion (for the moment, there are 3 accounts connected to the One S) ?

    5/ probably another question to come...

    ok you obviously dont know what a good router is if you havent heard of draytek look it up. And never recommend netgear unless its a corporate version and even then there not that good.

    But on the other hand your answer is not far wrong. you cant port for multiple boxes it causes conflicts.

    If your router can cope just UPNP on its own will do, if you get random problems with both boxes on you need a faster router.

    Use whatever you want , when it comes to xboxs I have personally fixed many MANY connection problems with mine , my friends and my sons friends simply by switching to netgear routers I'm a "whatever works " guy and when it comes to xbox , netgear works when
    others cant , wont or don't....

    I haven't herd of that router but it sounds like your xboxs are fighting over ports , that means that router isn't very good at UPNP , you may try a factory reset on your router since you cant do the port forwarding AND UPNP at the same time (may be confusing
    the router) but imo you need a gaming router that is multiple console friendly , (Netgear is very good at this imo)
