How to close accounts

accidentally made 2 accounts with one email. Now I can't even sign into the original account because it keeps signing into the new one. I've tried signing in on Xbox, the Xbox website, and the Microsoft website, but none of them work. I changed
the email on the new account, but that somehow also changed the email on the old account, because when I then tried to sign in the old account, it said that there was no account with that email. When I tried to sign in on Xbox with the old email it then created
a third account. I tried searching up how to delete an Xbox account permanently, but the only way I could find to do that, would be to also delete the Microsoft account, and i'm afraid that that would delete the original account and I would lose everything.
I want to somehow delete these 2 accidental accounts without deleting the original one.

There isn't a way to permanently delete an account from existence on the Xbox LIVE service. The closest thing you will get to cutting all ties with the account is by either closing the Microsoft Accout that you are using with it now or by transferring the
gamertag to a newly created temporary Microsoft Account, and then closing the Microsoft Account once the transfer has taken place.



In order to achieve this, you would need to follow through with the below guide

support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account

Once you have done that, you can close the Microsoft Account via :

• Logging into www.outlook.com
• Click your name in the top right hand corner and select 'account settings'
• Select 'security and passwords' on the left hand side.
• Click 'close my account'.

This will cut all ties with you and the account which is almost as effective as closing your account. Please be sure to remove any payment details before you follow through with this process and note, that this will not only prevent you from using this account
on Xbox.com but also on any console or other Xbox LIVE service.

How to close my account?

Bastion's process just removes the profile from the XBOX360 console. If you want to cancel the subscription, then go to
http://xbox.com, sign in there, then go to http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us?xr=footnav#0:0:1
and click on Request A Call. That's faster than calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX Option 1.



Replace the red US with your country code (e.g., CA for Canada) if you're not in the US.

 

You can not have 2 different accounts under one email for this exact reason.

If you Know the gamertag for the original account you can contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us give them the gamertag and if they can verify ownership of the account they can give you the email address associated with that gamertag.
