How to choose revert dashboard on xbox one

I don't care if the console is permanently offline afterwards. I own physical copies of everything I have with few exceptions and those are downloaded and playable.

I want to go one or two system updates back, to regain the previous dashboard.

I am tired of Microsoft forcing changes to MY xbox.

There must be some way of doing it. Every way I can think of asking this into Google just says you can't.

Only asking this because I want to not let my xbox go to waste

Only way is to buy a older one that hasn't been connected to the internet in the past few weeks and never connect it.

I understand your annoyance, but unfortunately you cannot modify the dashboard to the previous one, I would like to be able to support you but for my part I can't do more, other than recommend you file a report directly with Xbox:

The problem with the xbox isn't a organization or reordering groups.

It is being forced to use a change i havent agreed to and having no way to refuse it aside from giving up hundreds of dollars worth of stuff.

Going back to the previous dashboard is not possible, but to customize your dashboard a bit more to your liking you can reorder it to your liking:

To reorder the items that are listed in a group:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all > Groups.

Highlight any game or app in a group, and then press the View button  to move the game or app within its group.

Use the Directional pad (D-pad)  on the controller to move the item to a new spot, and then press the A button  to confirm the placement.

Once you are in the beta you cannot revert your dashboard back to the new one. I don't know how long the beta testing has left to go or if it finished, but when it is over it your xbox should update and remove the beta stuff.
