    How to choose folder for Xbox app


    So in the xbox PC app I go to install my game and it says choose a folder for game on my C drive. I then try to choose folders and none of them work, and I cannot find a allocated xbox app folder. I look in my settings and I only see the option to change my drive, not folder. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it multiple times and repaired and reset. My C drive is NTFS.

    To choose a folder for the Xbox app on your PC, you can follow these steps:



    1. Open the Xbox app on your PC.

    2. Click on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the app to open the menu.

    3. Click on "Settings" in the menu.

    4. Click on "System" in the left-hand menu.

    5. Under "Storage", click on "Change where new content is saved".

    6. Select the drive where you want to install your games.

    7. Click on "New apps will save to" and select the folder where you want to install your games.



    If you are still having trouble selecting a folder, you may want to try creating a new folder on your C drive specifically for Xbox games and selecting that folder as the installation location.

    Cannot change game install location in Xbox App. Every single install goes to the WindowsApps folder.

    The purpose of taking the folder ownership is that you have full control of the files inside not to move the games out of the windowsapp folder as i mentioned the apps(the games are apps) need to be inside that folder to work, unless that when you select install on the Xbox app you see in the window to choose the installation location that you can install on a different folder location, but often games will have this legend
