    so until then I always used the "xbox console helper" application for this purpose and everything was nicely described in those network settings, but now the application has been disabled "to make our lives easier" while I've been sitting and looking for this shit for 3 hours now

    I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble finding your NAT type. To check your NAT type, please follow these steps:

    - Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    - Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

    - Under Current Network Status, you will see your NAT type displayed.

    If your NAT type is Open, you have the best online gaming experience.

    If your NAT type is Moderate or Strict, you may face some issues with multiplayer games and chat.

    I do apologize about the confusion. I should've asked you about the devices make and model and its current OS version. Moving on, I don't believe that you'll be able to see this option like it used to be with Windows 10 and the Xbox Companion app. But if you are having issues you may perform the troubleshooting steps below.

    1. Select the Windows logo key on your device or keyboard, or you can select the Windows key in the lower-left corner of the main screen.
    2. Select Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset > Reset now.
