How to change Microsoft account affiliated with Minecraft account.

My Minecraft account was recently hacked by someone getting access to my Microsoft account. I need to change the details of the account. I've changed my password and added 2fa yet they still have access to my account. How can I change the email affiliated with my Minecraft account (Microsoft email connected with accounts) I've already contacted Minecraft support and they told me that this is an issue to be resolved with Microsoft.

Thanks for the response!

I think this is referring to minecraft on the Ipad and phone. I am talking about the minecraft on the computer. The java edition. I've looked up many articles yet none of them explain how to do it and instead say its impossible. I refuse to believe that there is no way to change the microsoft account linked with my minecraft account. If you know of a solution please reply. I am willing to hear any and all advice.

To change the Microsoft account affiliated with your Minecraft account, you can follow these steps:

1. Open the Minecraft game on your device and log in with your current Microsoft account.

2. Click on the "Play" button to start the game.

3. Once the game has loaded, click on the "Options" button in the main menu.

4. In the options menu, click on the "Profile" button.

5. Click on the "Log Out" button to log out of your current Microsoft account.

6. Once you have logged out, click on the "Log In" button to log in with a different Microsoft account.

7. Enter the login credentials for the new Microsoft account and click on the "Log In" button to link it to your Minecraft account.

Keep in mind that changing the Microsoft account linked to your Minecraft account will also change the account linked to your Xbox Live achievements and friends list.

Hi Karina,

An Xbox Gamertag won't appear in your emails as a signature or display name in any way. I've personally never seen that before, especially if the Xbox account uses a Microsoft account that was created using a third-party email (Gmail, yahoo, work emails).
If you use a Microsoft affiliated email address (outlook, hotmail, msn), then the display name you see when you login to your Microsoft account could be seen in emails. Do you use a third party or Microsoft affiliated email?
