How to change locked region/country info on you profile?

For some reason my Microsoft profile info displays a wrong country/ region and when I try to edit it, it is the only field that is locked. I can edit all other fields except this. It is set to United States, even though I reside in Europe. I have entered
my correct address in the personal information section and this is fine, but when I open my profile info, it displays U.S. as my country. It seems that this error causes cross problems with billing, etc. What have I done wrong when setting up my account and
    how to fix this?

    :)

    Sure! See the following steps:

    Sign into https://account.microsoft.com/

Click 'Your Info' at the top of the page. Under 'Profile info', click on 'Country or region'.

Select the region you wish to change to.

Anyone know who to change the country/region on the Billing Contact Information? I want to purchase some points but I can't because I don't live in the States and can't change it. I can't get a new account by the way, what do I do?

Here is how to change the region of your account.

    support.xbox.com/.../change-region

Sorry but you cannot change the billing info. In order to purchase items online your billing info must match your physical location.

Also, be aware that even if you change your account region you still may not be able to purchase and download some content due to region locking. This means that although you may be able to purchase items you won't be able to download them if they are not
originally available outside of that country.
