How to change email on xbox live account without losing any info

I may not fully understand the set up, but... if the Xbox log in for the profile in question is 'your' Microsoft account then it is *your* Xbox profile and to my knowledge can't be separated: it's one Microsoft account.

You can set up a linked child account which would have its own Microsoft login

Ok so no splitting accounts but I need more info. Is his gamertag that he uses to sign into XBox with linked to your email address?? Are you just trying to take your email address off his account?? If so hell need to have an email address or some type of
email address to pair with his account instead.

You can change any email on any xbox/microsoft account, but only one GamerTag can be connected to each Microsoft account.
