How to change adults email to child' email in minecraft?

Hello!

My problem is that my dad made me a minecraft account a long time ago and it is in his email. This is troublesome because everytime it logs the account out, he needs to come and put the password in. So I am asking that is it possible to change the minecraft account's email to mine so that I could get control of the account because it was meant for me and I play minecraft and my dad doesn't, plus I don't want to buy minecraft again so that I could make a account with my email and lose very much progress in the game itself and in a lot of servers.

Thank you for your answer, but I was left wondering if it weren't a "parent account" could I transfer the email and secondly, why the feature to change emails was removed because when it was a mojang account you could have done that I'm pretty sure. It doesn't just make sense in my mind why it got removed.

Hello again, Microsoft changed the system when it acquired Mojang some time ago.

Only if you haven't migrated your account yet will you be able to migrate to the account you want.

However, there is an option to exchange emails from Microsoft accounts, this is called "Alias" but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

Hello Joona, if the game is in your parent's account unfortunately it is not possible to transfer it to another email.

However, if you haven't migrated your Minecraft account to Microsoft, you can do so for your email account.

The instructions in the link dont make sense. The child is supposed to sign into xbox.com? How? The child and the adult share the same email/pw combo. How is the child supposed to log in?

You can not change an adult account to a child account. Deleting the accounts will lose all data and purchases. If you have a Microsoft email (@live.com @hotmail.com @outlook.com) you can not change email as this will delete the account completely.
