how to change a @xboxlivefamily.com email account

The @xboxlivefamily.com is the Microsoft Account assigned to an account when created through the Family Plan. It is not a real email so if you change the Microsoft Account name it will require an actual email at that time.

@xboxlivefamily.com is only a temporary Microsoft Account. You can create your child an email of their own using the outlook.com email and change it to that but at this time that is the only option.

In these cases your best shot is to contact support

The @xboxlivefamily.com address is unable to be changed because Microsoft no longer uses that email domain on their accounts ( the family program was discontinued). You should contact them and ask for your address to be changed manually

But you can't change the primary email, i've tried many times on my old acct that uses the old @xboxlivefamily.com. so am not sure how they could've changed my email without it also notifying me as well.

account.live.com to change the password to the microsoft account. His email will be what ever xboxlive gave him as a gamertag @xboxlivefamily.com. Click on 'cant access your account?" and use (hisgamertag)@xboxlivefamily.com as the microsoft account. the
captcha message and then go further. if you can use the options to reset the password; do so. If not, click I cant use any of the options shown. Then enter in the contact email that you can be reached at, then lick next adn the last page is an account info
page. fill it out and then wait for email.

I think the problem is that my xbox account was originally a family account and it will not allow me to remove the xboxlivefamily.com email.
