    How to block access from mobile app? (SOLVED)


    Edit: found out myself. Settings > preferences > xbox apps if anyone is interested.

    So you know how you can turn your xbox on and off via the mobile app if its connected to the same network? Well that's become an issue with a couple of my house mates.

    2 of em aren't getting along and one of em keeps turning off the other guy's xbox in the middle of his games just to spite him.

    Any way to block the app?

    Nevermind, turns out Microsoft is blocking the VPN server I was connecting to, or the server somehow can't connect to Xbox services. I was also blocked from accessing the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store on PC. Anyway, switching to another server solved
    it.

    There might be a possibility, that your mobile provider blocks or throttles downloads from high bandwidth sites for non-mobile devices.

    While netflix and mobile apps are also mobile applications and are permitted by your provider, they might block content from content delivery systems that provide downloads for consoles and the likes.

    Try if you can take the console to a friend with DSL, cable or glass fibre internet instead of a mobile hotspot.
