this all sounds very similar to my issues, the only way to fix this for my console is unplug it then back on again and it works for a little while but the problem is daily. I have other problems with how it works but it all seems a generic problem, is it
software issues or possibly a manufacturing batch issue with a iffy piece of hardware . I ask about the hardware side as I have replaced mine that I got at christmas but was wondering about batch issues .

You seem to have tried everything software / hardware related, so can I ask a daft question, have you thought about mic positioning?

How close is it to your mouth, how about adjusting it while in a party, get other members to give.you input as to if it makes any difference?
