How to Adjust, Calibrate or Tune the Joysticks on Xbox One Wireless Controllers for Windows?

I have seen a few forums with similar questions and no response that works for me. So I will take some time to clearly describe what I want to do. I want to adjust the sensitivity of the joysticks so I can get maximum precision near center and maximum speed near the edge.

One common response I saw in the forums is telling users to adjust sensitivity in games. The problem here is the sensitivity curve shifts up and down, making either slow movement at the edge or twitchy fast movement near the center. This is not a solution. I made this chart to illustrate.

That could be an option for future devices, current devices won't support this as it's a different hardware, so you still will need to change your current device for this option to be available for you and also probably the cost of this device will increase

The porpuse of my previous answer it's to share with you that it's not possible currently and you won't be able to do it, but that if you actually need to have this will be neccesary a different device

Saying what I requested to do is possible for a different product is not a solution. Please ask those Joystick people to talk to those controller people and add this option.

As mentioned, normal controllers do not support these settings. Elite controllers only.

Its possible to adjust the response curve on the joystick for Xbox Elite controller but not for regular Xbox controllers, this can be done on the accessories app from Xbox

The Xbox Accessories app is located under the My Games and Apps section > Apps > Xbox Accessories. If it is not there you may have to download the app from the store or check under ready to install.

In this app you can map controller buttons and adjust settings. Note that joystick calibration is a feature of the Xbox One Elite Controller.
