How to actually talk to someone about getting my broken XBOX One Elite Controller ...

I have an XBOX One Elite controller.

The LB button on it has physically broken. I've owned the controller for less than a year.

With some searching, I am directed to here, to register my device so that I can then request a repair: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/devices

On selecting the + button to register, I select in the dropdowns my region, Xbox, and then enter the serial number on the box my controller came in. For the last few days now, every time I have tried this I receive an error saying "sorry, there's a problem
    on our end".

So instead I try to go here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/contactus/xbox/

I type in my question and it points me to the xbox support website here: Contact Us | Xbox Support

On selecting the relevant options there it points me back to the first link above.

I'm going around in circles - how can I talk to someone about getting this thing fixed?

    :)

I need to send in my Xbox one elite controller to get fixed

I need to send in my Xbox one elite controller to get fixed. At the device service and repair in the elite controller thing it wants to send me replace accessories not an actual
elite controller. There's a replacement standard controller. Do I use the standard replacement and I send my elite controller and they'll send me an elite controller or a standard? I'm just confused, am I overlooking something? I've read other post about broken
elite controllers but the answered ones just have a link to the Device service and repair page or something along the lines of that.

    Hi

Go back to the contact us page, and choose Account in step 1 then Other in step 2, this will give you the chat option.

On the devices site to repair a controller you need to select your xbox in the first step then after that you can choose controller from the drop down.

Xbox OnePC Controler unusable after 1 and a half year! Programed inbuild obsolenscense

I dunno why people are so anti-consumer about this.

I've been gaming since the 1970s. I've owned one or more consoles in every generation. In all of that time as a gamer, I've had 8 broken controllers: -

An Xbox 360 controller that developed minor stick drift after many years as being my main controller for both the 360 and PC gaming.

7 broken Xbox One controllers - 4 regular controllers and 3 Elites. 2 of those controllers were broken out of the box, including my Day One controller. Even with the Xbox One controllers that "worked", I've had regular issues with them disconnecting where
the sound starts to break up in my headset, the controller disconnects then reconnects, but then it says I have no mic and I have to manually turn the controller off and back on to get the mic working again. This has happened with several original Xbox Ones
and all of the controllers I've owned and it's only when I switched to an Xbox One X that it stopped happening - or at least, it hasn't happened yet.

So in all of those years of gaming, all 8 broken controllers I've had have been made by Microsoft, but 7 of them have been Xbox One controllers. Don't try and tell me it's something I'm doing unless "using a controller to play a game" somehow counts as misuse
now. Saying "my 360 controller has never broken" isn't even relevant to the OP's post, as he's talking about Xbox One controllers.

I've owned about 7 xbox one controllers and they've all broke in one way or another for no apparent reason.

I just want to know if anyone else has had such bad luck with their controllers and has Microsoft ever done anything to compensate? Sorry for the rant.
I own a Xbox One with Day One controller, a Gears of War Special Edition Controller, Elite Controller, a Design Lab controller and about three other "standard" controllers, that I mainly use for visitors.

Even the Day One Xbox One controller still works flawlessly, and I haven't heard of my friends with such a high failure rate on their controllers.

One friend complains about the rubber grips on his Elite Controller getting loose, but having observed him playing, this is because he is very tense when playing, and starts to twist his hands like a motorcycle throttle, when the game gets intense.

Without having seen you actually playing, and without knowing what exactly is broken on the controllers, I can only guesstimate that you're handling the controllers wrong.
