How to activate slot 2 for controllers???

I have an xbox Series S. And I bought a second controller so I could play with friends.

The problem is that both controllers identify as player 1.

Both the console and the controllers are up to date.

I have tried to set the second controller to a guest account, also to it's own different account, but it still acts as a controller for player one.

Co-pilot it's not activated.

And when trying to configure the controller it only gives the option to use SLOT 1 for each controller, so I'm guessing that's the issue. How can I fix it?

Hello Ariel_Mendoza, by your description you are doing everything correctly, you just have to see if the game you want to play allows local and online cooperation, while a game is not active or if the game does not allow coop, it will continue assuming as 1 player .

Thank you, I was trying to play co-op games, but the underlying issue is that for any controller I can only choose slot 1 for the controller profile.

Both controllers are turned on an synced with the console, but in games like Dragon Ball WarriorZ or TMNT SR the second controller doesn't apper, it can only use the Xbox Button. But you can press start or any other button in-game.

I just figured it out and fixed the problem. The achievement is granted to the controller in slot 1. When I pre-ordered the first time I had a plugged in controller that took slot 1 when the console turned on, but was signed into and using a wireless controller
on slot 2.

Doing the Pre-order again signed in with the controller on slot 1 worked after canceling the previous pre-order.

I've saved the profile to slot 1, but once i unplug the WIRELESS controller I cannot use the profile i saved to that slot. The article states "it's saved to controller", but it doesn't seem to be doing that. How do I get it to save onto the controller?

How about 2 slots....a disc tray and a SD slot like for games....
