How Quickly Can Scammers Access Information Using Mailer App?

Hello.

I received an email today saying that my Microsoft account had been accessed from a foreign country. I knew that it was a valid Microsoft email address sending it, so I went and changed my password, and I also got an email saying Mailer App had been added to my account, which it had, so I removed it within minutes of it being added. Looking over my account security it says it is now secure and I don’t have any devices I don’t recognize.

That being said, could the Mailer App have pulled data quickly, putting many of my other apps at risk? Just wondering what the odds are of my account, and many others being screwed because of the Mailer App that was added.

The most important thing is that you have confirmed your account is secure. Additionally, I recommend that you check recent login activity over the next few days to ensure no suspicious access has occurred.

Apparently Fifa 12 has nothing to do with how these guys are getting account information. I know this doesn't really help you at the moment, but this is an interesting read on how they are accessing accounts:

just be careful. if he signs out real quickly from xbox live and you dont see him on your friend's list after you pay him. he's a scammer. make him give you all the information and try and see if the account works before you pay him.

where can I report this as a scammer tried selling me a link to access a game instead of an xbox key

Sometimes scammers will use these scare tactics to convince you to give up personal information. No one but xbox admins can ban you, and wouldn't do so for not joining a party. The will also never ask for personal information via in game chat or text messages.
