How much upload speed for twitch app?

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find out how much upload bandwith the twitch app needs to be provided with in order to make use of the maximum quality of 2500kbps. Does anyone of you guys have an answer?

Asking the question because my connection is capable of 5.83 Mbit/s, but still the app is recommending only 400 kbps and in addition to that the stream is buffering as hell. Pretty much completely useless.

Slow Upload Speed with newest update.....

I am also having trouble with my upload speed, playing games is now prob but if i try to upload clips or stream a game in twitch it has a lot of trouble doing so. i ran speed test in the xbox one settings and it shows me 0.6 upload speed. i have tried many
things to improve this but all fails, this kinda makes upload studio and twitch pointless for me to use. sure i can watch other peoples vids but i would also like to show mine as well.

i believe to reach the full 720 your UPload speed needs to be 3+ but twitch will calculate your speed and adjust quality accordingly

 

Problem is fixed.

Had to...

- uninstall the twitch app

- delete safed twitch-data from the console

- reinstall the twitch app

- reset my stream key via the twitch dashboard (website)

- reconnect the twitch app with my twitch account

After that I got my new recommendation for high quality settings.
