How many times do I push the sequence buttons before the reset system box shows

I just want to confirm, are you trying to reset the Xbox 360 parental passcode, is that correct?

You should press the last button repeatedly until the reset system message shows up.

If your talking about on a 360 you would need to contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and they will register the console with one of your profiles they will then give you a 10 button sequence that you would push on the controller
on the system info screen that will then reset the xbox including the parental passcode

I've done the power button hard reset shutting the console off many times with no luck. This usually has worked in the past when the kinect would stop shutting my tv and cable box off but not this time. How do I do a factory reset, will that delete my
game data?

@TheStanfordZone Push the dashboard button and then hover over the game. Push the button that looks like two boxes then push exit game. It's like a hard reset for games. Hopefully that fixes your problem.

ok- i did call the support line. i spoke with a woman- who shall remain nameless- and who gave me a sequence of buttons to push in order to reset the pin. it does not work. Everyone in my family has tried doing it, with the same result. Now what?
