How many people having trouble with Microsoft Wireless headset model 1944

It sounds like we need to get to the root cause for your wireless disconnects. Wireless does have its limitations.

How far is the router from the console and how many objects are in the way? What Make and Model of router do you have? Do you use a wireless headset? Some headsets actually use the same frequency as home networks.

Do you have a wireless stereo headset? Many models from MadKatz and Turtle Beach (not all, but many) use the same 2.4GHz frequencies which WiFi users, but because they're not actually WiFi, they cause interference with wireless
connections. If you have a stereo wireless headset, unplug its base station from the Xbox and try again.

Those headsets are going to compound the issue if that's the case. The X31 and X41 headsets, as well as the other similar models that have a wireless base that broadcasts to the headset, all use the same wireless frequency as standard networks. The base
station for the headsets should be as far away from the console as the USB cord they plug in with allows.



If this was happening before then it's most likely a wireless interference issue. Are there other networks in your area? If there are how much signal strength do they have and how many are there? On top of that, how much signal strength does your network
have, or how many bars are filled in on the available networks screen for your network and the others.



Probably also want to check if there are large metal objects between the xbox and the router, or if the xbox is next to any other wireless devices like wireless speakers. Other things like 3D tvs that use glasses or 3D tv broadcasters that use glasses will
also cause wireless interference.

You won't find ear buds that work with Xbox, but there are some models of wireless headsets that work with the console.
