How long will the Xbox one be able to play online multiplayer with next-gen consoles

if you hear anything about any shut downs and it's not from an official sources, you should treated it as rumor.

If you haven't noticed they haven't shut down 360 multiplayer support and that system has been out of production for almost a decade now. They have no intention of shutting down anything any time in the foreseeable future

compatibility between the versions is entirely up to the developers, but anyone who wants to can continue to do so for as long as they wish

Hey. I play Minecraft too and luv it! Xbox One at launch will NOT be able to play any Xbox 360 games (INCL arcade titles).

But luckily, there will be a Minecraft Xbox One Edition )))). This edition should have a larger multiplayer capacity since it will be on a next gen console with better specs. Have you mentioned this on the xbox.com Minecraft Forum?

You're telling me the chat adapter isn't going to be out in time for the online multiplayer only console seller....Titanfall? What a fail. The lack of headset has been my only issue with the xbox one. We already had it on 360....how in the heck does a
next gen console that has been in development for years not have a simple basic thing that we had on the last gen??? and such an important feature. Rage.

The best thing may be to wait for the next gen console (Scarlett) and see if it may work on there. I've heard rumors that the next gen console will be able to play original Xbox, 360 and Xbox One games seamlessly but we shall have to wait and see. I certainly
hope so.
