How long will Microsoft take to update the Xbox Accessories app?

Have you tried to report this issue to the Xbox Team? On Xbox One/Series X|S consoles, you can report this bug by following these steps:

1. Install the Xbox Insider Bundle through the Microsoft Store.

2. Once it is installed, open the Xbox Insider app and then close it.

3. Open the Xbox Accessories app, then press and hold the Xbox button on your controller (like you are going to turn the console off), and on that screen, select Report a problem.

4. Complete the Report.

If you are seeing the same issue on Windows 10/11, you can simply open the Feedback Hub from the Start Menu, then press the Report a problem button, and fill the form with the necessary info.

Let's manually update the controllers on your Windows 10 PC through the Xbox Accessories app. To proceed, kindly download the "Xbox Accessories" app from the
Windows Store. This is a separate app from the Xbox app. The app will enable you to update your controller. Refer to How
to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10 for the steps.

Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates, and also follow the steps below.

1. Logout from Xbox Accessories App, Xbox app, and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox Accessories App, Xbox app, and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Open the Microsoft Store, click on ''library'' in the lower-left corner then ''get updates'' and update everything.

5. Restart your PC, log into the apps again and try again.

The update is taking long depending on the download speed that you have

Thanks for keeping us updated with your reply. Since you have updated your PC to the latest Windows build, if you're having trouble

updating the Elite controller using the Xbox Accessories app, then there may be an issue with the app itself if it isn't allowing you to update the controller. You may wish to run the App troubleshooter to see if there may be something with the app itself
that requires a "fix". Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store

In regard to configuring your Elite controller, you would need the Xbox Accessories app for that as well: Use the Xbox
Accessories app to configure your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller

If you continue to experience issues updating or configuring your Elite controller using your Windows 10 PC, then you may need to attempt to do so from a different PC or an Xbox One console.
