    How long does it take for an investigation team to review whether or not you own an account...


    Hello, My account was recently hacked, as of August 30 or the 31st, upon finding out that my account was hacked, I contacted Support, spoke with a live agent and had the case escalated quickly, I was than told I would receive an update with 24-72hrs after my initial report on either this email or the blank email I had created for my info to be transferred to. When I had not received any update, I spot to another support person and they stated to have sent an email to the investigation team to get back to me with a response by end of day of the third, again, no response from the investigation team. I am currently waiting for a response, and to speak to another support agent while I ask this.

    Has anyone experienced how long this takes, cause I have had friends who got their account back within a week of reporting.

    Hello Nicholas, they are right, it may take 24-72hrs, (weekend not included) however depending on the case may take longer than expected.

    By your description you have a case of (Account Takeover), you should receive the account recovery instructions in the new email you provided, or you can also contact support again and pass the protocol number you have to request information regarding your case.

    can take up to a month sometimes, maybe quicker if you provide plenty of info about the account. al in all it depends how much of a backlog there is.

    I had just recently reported my account being hacked, and was told by a nice lady at customer support that it would take around 10-12 business days (and the rare saturdays). Well the investigation was started this Thursday on 11/22/12 and luckily, they were
    working that Saturday. So hopefully I should here from them next Monday, 12/2/12 to Wednesday, 12/4/12. I will let you guys know how it turns out to help the worries around these forums. (=

    Just talked to phone support (again), apparently the turnaround right now is 28 days. We'll find out next week for sure I guess.
