How Long Does Account Recovery Take?

Hello,

I would like to ask for an update on my account recovery. Yesterday, I received assistance from Live Chat Support, and they mentioned that my case would be forwarded to a higher-tier team. I’m wondering how long this process typically takes, does anybody have any Idea?

I'm particularly concerned that the person who hacked my account may be abusing my data, as they currently have full control over my OneDrive and Xbox and overall Microsoft. Could you also confirm whether my account has been temporarily locked for security reasons?

Any update would be greatly appreciated.

I understand you are waiting for feedback from Microsoft regarding a case created by the agent for your account recovery. If you are waiting for the email, it normally should take 24-72 hours. Were you told to submit a recovery form online? Please see this link:

I suggest you submit a recovery form, that is how you are supposed to recover hacked or compromised account.

I hope there is more I can do for you, unfortunately we do not have access to anyone's account thus we could not confirm if your account is temporarily locked for security reasons.

It's been a long time since I transferred anything but I had about 100Gb to switch over and it took 45 min. to an hour.

Microsoft has no right to block anyone’s account without prior consent. It’s been 2 days now and they have punished me by blocking my account because I have continued to try to use it. None of the robot remedies that they keep directing me to works. They just sent me another one.

I hope your fellows realize how dumb it is to lock an account for such a tiny reason, especially since I purchased a product with that account. If I were a bot, I wouldn't have bought anything, I would have spammed the site to death instead.
