How lond does it take for a recently changed username on an account to be available?

So I have 2 accounts and Account 1 has the usernae I want Account 2 to have. And I changed Account 1's username to something and when I try to change the username on Account 2 it says is available but its a username under 12 letters. And somehow it shows with the number symbol and numbers? why is that? is there a time? wich the username is suppose to be available?

I understand you need help with using your previous gamertag.

Just a heads up, this may or may not be available anymore on the other account because of the new update of the gamertag that anyone can have the same gamertag because of the suffix. The system may still recognize this gamertag as being used previously and may not be updated to be used on another gamertag. You can try it after 24-48 hours but it is no longer a guarantee if the original gamertag can still be used.

Can I change my username?

Users who have a Mojang account or a Microsoft account can change their username for free at www.minecraft.net/en-us/profile. Click Change next to your profile name.

If you have an older account and you sign in with your username, you need to migrate to a Mojang account before you can change your username. Minecraft support is unable to assist with changing usernames as system is set up to be self-service.

How often can I change my username?

You can change your username once every 30 days. When you change your username, your previous name is saved for 37 days. This gives you an additional week to change back if you change your mind before your previous username becomes available to anyone else.

Everything evolves and changes over time. At some point it takes more work to keep stuff like that alive then it does to use the most recent technology available.

I don't care about the 222, I'm trying to change the 5721. For that one (5721) it does have a # symbol, because when I made it I already had on my accidental account. That username is now available.

If your account will not sign in even offline, Check your password and/or username is correct. Have you recently changed Passwords?
